Im so overjoyed and relieved how the men at this shop helped me this morning. I always come here for my repairs. I was close by and my rear turn signal went out and I was in a panic. I pulled over to their shop and asked if they could repair it. They looked so busy. Not only did they come in the parking lot...IN THE POURING RAIN!! They got it fixed in 15 minutes. They always go above and beyond, and always explain everything and are beyond fair on cost. Exceptional service. Haven't seen this before and I'm 52. Brings me joy that someone raised these guys right. Definitely come here..especially the ladies too. Very respectful owner and a great business!
Iv used this place many times now, Great techs at a fair price!. I have done most auto work myself in the past, but now I have found a competent shop that I can trust. Been nothing but fantastic! 5 stars
They always get me together and don’t make me feel as if I need extra repairs but they will give me recommendations and the status of my cars condition upon completion of what I brought it in for!

Found them through google and the reviews are spot on. Brought a car I just purchased for a thorough inspection. They found a coolant leak and fixed it on the spot. They also found some issues that can be addressed later. Gave me some quotes and I will be able to budget it and come back. Now I can drive with some peace of mind. Bonus points: When they replace parts they keep the worn items to show you what was wrong. This kind of shop is far and few between. They earned my business. Give them a shot and I’m sure they’ll earn yours as well.
I had a break down along the way and had to be here for a whole morning while waiting for repairs. It’s a healthy way to get to know the people who work there and see them make decisions. I was the only person waiting and they took notice. My repair was front loaded and they were cognizant of my needs. I also felt very comfortable with the decisions the owner made. Everything from personnel decisions to repair advice, he was pleasant to customers and employees alike. This is the type of place that will treat you fair and make you feel like you matter to them. I fully expect them to be a much larger shop in the future as they know how to do it right.
Brought a Chevy Express van to The Shop on short notice—I'm in a band and we had shows coming up. Our brakes were completely destroyed, and AC barely working. They got it done super fast and did an amazing job. Super reliable, no issues on the road. Definitely saved us, quite literally!
I had my car towed to the Shop when the power steering went out and they carved out time to look at it on the same day. It was an older car (2010 Dodge Caravan, 190,000 miles) with lots of cumulative problems so I ended up having it junked, but the mechanics provided a detailed diagnosis, discussed different options focusing on cost management, and had competitive prices. They also helped me make arrangements to sell the car (to a junkyard) and to have it towed there since this was new territory for me. So even though I didn't end up having any work done on my car I was impressed by their helpfulness and high level of professionalism and I have already recommended the Shop to others.

The shop just completed a tune up on my 20 year old Impala and it runs as well as it did 20 years ago. The price was right and the guys made a couple recommendations on doing two more details to the work. It runs better than ever. My sister takes both her cars to The Shop too and I plan to take my car there from now on.
Steven and his crew did a great job with maintaining my car and keeping it running like new! Kept me posted the whole way through. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the Jtown or Louisville area

Great work! I needed my brakes done that day after work! They were done in 3 hrs! I know where I’m getting all of my auto maintenance and work done from now on!!!
This place is one the best shops around without doubt. I came in with a complicated two part issue on my camaro and instantly they scheduled, diagnosed, and got me back believing in local business again. Second car being dropped off next week.
Top Notch Mechanics. The owner is great at seeing his business through the customers eyes. Can't beat the $49.00 oil change. This business will excel in all your Service needs. Top level parts are used for all repairs.
I had a great experience at The Shop. After having a check engine light pop up, I reached out to The Shop based on their excellent google review. They did not disappoint. Jacob was very communicative and thoroughly explained the issue and the repair when he called after the diagnosis. I feel that the repair was a very fair price and, more importantly, I trust their work. The Shop will be my first stop for future repair work, no question.

Wonderful mechanic! Got me in for an oil change before closing, even though I was late arriving since I was stuck in traffic after work. My mother also used this mechanic and they saved her from losing her tire after a different mechanic shop left a long hammer in the underside of her car. Everyone there is very friendly and knowledgeable. I have gone to many mechanics in many different cities over the past 20+ years and this place is hands down the best
The shop is definitely a place I will recommend Steven,Jacob and the staff made me feel good about bringing my car in. I had a new engine put in my Kia sorento they fixed it so quick and my car runs as good as when I bought it brand new. They also Educated more about my car things the car dealer ship won’t tell you. If you want to best service you have to visit the shop.

Addition to previous post: I have lived in Europe, the middle east and all over the U.S. During those 60 years I have had 38 cars and been to countless service centers...but The Shop SHOULD GET 6 STARS! They diagnosed and repaired things other mechanics could not find...and they found multiple other things that needed immediate attention I didn't know were developing and potentially serious problems.Skilled, caring and honest mechanics are a rare breed, but that's what you get with Steven and his team! THANK YOU! FRIENDLY EXPERIENCE AND QUALITY WORK! Having a knowledgeable mechanic you can trust is a rare find in any community. But my experience with "The Shop" in J-Town and with the owner, Steven, has been outstanding! I had two unrelated issues with my Ford Escape. In the most gracious and sincere way Steve kept me fully informed at all times, worked hard to find ways to reduce the cost and completed the work to the highest standards. I've been in this shop several times and worked with Steven and Joey. They are always honest and great people to work with. Their mechanics in the shop are also very informative and make things easy to understand.

Great people to work with. Got me a quote over the phone quickly, beat the prices of other nearby shops, fun to talk to. They even put us on a good barbecue place nearby. 2 weeks after service they reached out to make sure everything was still good with the service we received.
