Great people to work with. Got me a quote over the phone quickly, beat the prices of other nearby shops, fun to talk to. They even put us on a good barbecue place nearby. 2 weeks after service they reached out to make sure everything was still good with the service we received.

One of the most challenging decisions for a car owner is trying to find a mechanic you can trust, work that is complete, and problems are solved. Well, let me help EVERYONE out, The Shop is hands down that garage. I took my Ram in with a horrible oil leak in the front end of the engine. Jacob Zimmerlee (being short staffed that day) took my truck back, diagnosed the problem, called me with a plan and did everything he said he’d do. Jacob had me ready to go the same day. I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. The Shop is the garage to go. I see 200 patients a week and I’m telling every one of them about The Shop.

The shop just completed a tune up on my 20 year old Impala and it runs as well as it did 20 years ago. The price was right and the guys made a couple recommendations on doing two more details to the work. It runs better than ever. This establishment is top notch! My first time ever walking into this place, and I got treated like I was a regular! The guy at the desk (I apologize, I can’t remember his name) was extremely helpful, and explained the process from start to finish… and it went exactly as I was told. My car runs like a champ! Also extremely happy I could bring it in after 2p, and got it back, in plenty of time before they closed at 6p! Flawless victory! You have a repeat customer. Thank you so much!!

Was an awesome experience with some dudes that just love cars and love saving people time and money. Came in to have my ac evacuated so I could do some work on it and they offered to do a vacuum test to check for leaks, didn’t find any charged it up and got me on my way! Addition to previous post: I have lived in Europe, the middle east and all over the U.S. During those 60 years I have had 38 cars and been to countless service centers...but The Shop SHOULD GET 6 STARS! They diagnosed and repaired things other mechanics could not find...and they found multiple other things that needed immediate attention I didn't know were developing and potentially serious problems.Skilled, caring and honest mechanics are a rare breed, but that's what you get with Steven and his team! THANK YOU! FRIENDLY EXPERIENCE AND QUALITY WORK! Having a knowledgeable mechanic you can trust is a rare find in any community. But my experience with "The Shop" in J-Town and with the owner, Steven, has been outstanding! I had two unrelated issues with my Ford Escape. In the most gracious and sincere way Steve kept me fully informed at all times, worked hard to find ways to reduce the cost and completed the work to the highest standards. I had a break down along the way and had to be here for a whole morning while waiting for repairs. It’s a healthy way to get to know the people who work there and see them make decisions. I was the only person waiting and they took notice. My repair was front loaded and they were cognizant of my needs. I also felt very comfortable with the decisions the owner made. Everything from personnel decisions to repair advice, he was pleasant to customers and employees alike. This is the type of place that will treat you fair and make you feel like you matter to them. I fully expect them to be a much larger shop in the future as they know how to do it right.

We moved to the area about 18 months ago and have only used The Shop for our mechanic needs for our two cars. We have found the people to be extremely fair and professional and have been happy with their work. I really can't recommend them enough if you want a trustworthy garage that does great work. Had our Outback in today and the job turned out to be bigger than we anticipated but they still found the time to get it knocked out so we'd have the car for the weekend. Great service.

i brought my 2016 lexus is350 f sport in for some maintenance & a couple weeks later i noticed an oil leak. i took it back expecting to have to leave it for a while, but they took it in immediately, found the issue, topped off my oil, fixed it, & had me back on the road in less than 30 mins. turned out the oil drain plug gasket was defective. stuff happens, but what matters is how a shop handles it, & they handled it perfectly. no hassle, no charge, just took care of it. hard to find honest shops that stand behind their work like this. also worth mentioning, they’re always genuinely enthusiastic about working on my car like it’s something they actually enjoy getting into, not just another job. definitely earned my trust & i’ll keep bringing my car here.

Brakes were vibrating hard, and despite being very busy they got my car diagnosed, quoted and fixed in just a couple hours. All staff was very friendly and helped me understand everything that was wrong and why. Prices are very affordable and have longer warrenties than other shops. Overall 10/10

I've been to the shop before and came back because they did a great job the first time. Most recently, my car was having issues with no warning lights, and they were able to diagnose the problem the same day I dropped it off. They explained everything clearly, gave helpful recommendations, and never pressured me into an expensive service that was not necessary. As long as I live in Louisville I'll bring my car here. If you have an Audi, bring it here over the dealer, better in every way.
