Got a recommendation from a friend to go here, great guys, really honest and they know their stuff. Won’t be going anywhere else anytime soon.
This place is one the best shops around without doubt. I came in with a complicated two part issue on my camaro and instantly they scheduled, diagnosed, and got me back believing in local business again. Second car being dropped off next week.
This place is great and would definitely recommend it to anyone. I have used them a few times already and haven't had any issues come from their work. First off the staff is super friendly and helpful which puts you at ease. Secondly they will diagnose your car and break it down for you on what specifically is wrong and not try and upsell you on what you wouldn't need. They also run car fax reports on your car to see what maintenance should be done on your car to help maintain and prolong the life of your car. They also follow up after they have done the service to check to make sure no issues have come up. If your looking for a new place to take your car, check them out you will not be disappointed.
My family has brought a handful of cars to The Shop since they’ve opened and they always do great, solid work. Very fast, super honest, fair prices, and they actually take the time to explain what’s going on. It’s hard to find a place you can really trust with your car, but these guys have definitely earned it. They work hard!
We take both of our vehicles to Steven and his crew and are very pleased with their service and price. I feel they are very trustworthy, honest and fair.

The shop just completed a tune up on my 20 year old Impala and it runs as well as it did 20 years ago. The price was right and the guys made a couple recommendations on doing two more details to the work. It runs better than ever. My sister takes both her cars to The Shop too and I plan to take my car there from now on.
We had a great experience! I got to talk with the owner, he was professional, friendly, and assured me that my car was on good hands. He was right! My car is fixed and it cost so much less than we thought it would. The Shop is our new go to for all of our cars!
Wonderful mechanic! Got me in for an oil change before closing, even though I was late arriving since I was stuck in traffic after work. My mother also used this mechanic and they saved her from losing her tire after a different mechanic shop left a long hammer in the underside of her car. Everyone there is very friendly and knowledgeable. I have gone to many mechanics in many different cities over the past 20+ years and this place is hands down the best
The guys at The Shop are knowledgeable. They don't overcharge for services or try to upsell you. Would recommend, 10 out of 10. I will definitely be returning here for all future service.
I had my car towed to the Shop when the power steering went out and they carved out time to look at it on the same day. It was an older car (2010 Dodge Caravan, 190,000 miles) with lots of cumulative problems so I ended up having it junked, but the mechanics provided a detailed diagnosis, discussed different options focusing on cost management, and had competitive prices. They also helped me make arrangements to sell the car (to a junkyard) and to have it towed there since this was new territory for me. So even though I didn't end up having any work done on my car I was impressed by their helpfulness and high level of professionalism and I have already recommended the Shop to others.
All the guys were very knowledgeable and honest! Would recommend anyone to them for Services!
Iv used this place many times now, Great techs at a fair price!. I have done most auto work myself in the past, but now I have found a competent shop that I can trust. Been nothing but fantastic! 5 stars
I had a great experience at The Shop. I really appreciate that the reasonable pricing and promptness to get my car back on the road after having a full engine repair. I would definitely recommend the guys at The Shop if you want fair prices and personalized service for your car repairs.
They always get me together and don’t make me feel as if I need extra repairs but they will give me recommendations and the status of my cars condition upon completion of what I brought it in for!
My CLK had not been driven for about a year and the brakes were not working well.
Was an awesome experience with some dudes that just love cars and love saving people time and money. Came in to have my ac evacuated so I could do some work on it and they offered to do a vacuum test to check for leaks, didn’t find any charged it up and got me on my way! Saved me a bunch of time and money replacing a compressor. Can’t thank the guys there enough!
Steven and his crew did a great job with maintaining my car and keeping it running like new! Kept me posted the whole way through. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the Jtown or Louisville area

Love The Shop! Steven was so nice and did an awesome job at communicating and making sure I had all the information. They truly went above and beyond and I will definitely be coming back, but hopefully I won’t have to for a while 😂 Highly recommend!!

Addition to previous post: I have lived in Europe, the middle east and all over the U.S. During those 60 years I have had 38 cars and been to countless service centers...but The Shop SHOULD GET 6 STARS! They diagnosed and repaired things other mechanics could not find...and they found multiple other things that needed immediate attention I didn't know were developing and potentially serious problems.Skilled, caring and honest mechanics are a rare breed, but that's what you get with Steven and his team! THANK YOU! FRIENDLY EXPERIENCE AND QUALITY WORK! Having a knowledgeable mechanic you can trust is a rare find in any community. But my experience with "The Shop" in J-Town and with the owner, Steven, has been outstanding! I had two unrelated issues with my Ford Escape. In the most gracious and sincere way Steve kept me fully informed at all times, worked hard to find ways to reduce the cost and completed the work to the highest standards. You can trust these mechanics and that’s a hard thing to do these days. I have been misled by more than one shop. Honest, knowledgeable,and probably the cleanest garage lobby I’ve ever been in. I will definitely use them again when I need work.

These guys are great. They spent hours trying to find a problem with the shift column that had locked in reverse but apparently fixed itself and they still tried to find out why. After all the time spent, they charged us $0
I had a break down along the way and had to be here for a whole morning while waiting for repairs. It’s a healthy way to get to know the people who work there and see them make decisions. I was the only person waiting and they took notice. My repair was front loaded and they were cognizant of my needs. I also felt very comfortable with the decisions the owner made. Everything from personnel decisions to repair advice, he was pleasant to customers and employees alike. This is the type of place that will treat you fair and make you feel like you matter to them. I fully expect them to be a much larger shop in the future as they know how to do it right.
Great work! I needed my brakes done that day after work! They were done in 3 hrs! I know where I’m getting all of my auto maintenance and work done from now on!!!
