There is not enough room on this review to truly say how amazing The Shop is! We’ve taken our cars there for various reasons, several times, but I’ll just speak of this last time. They got us in right away fixed what was needed immediately as they knew that was my daughters only transportation. They helped her with the cost, and her car is working perfectly. (They even text to follow up the next day to make sure)! Steven and crew truly go beyond and above, and definitely far pass expectations.
The best service I’ve ever had! Steven and his crew were patient and explained what they were doing and why each step of the way. They helped make sure I knew what services I needed without making me feel pressured to get anything I didn’t need at the moment. I’ve been looking for a new shop to go to since I moved to this side of Louisville and I’ve found it at The Shop
Wow, what a blessing to find The Shop. Being new to Kentucky I had to find a place to take care of my car. The Shop was super! Took care of me and the issue. I was treated with respect and I have found my "go to" for car care.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Shop after experiencing persistent issues with my vehicle that other shops could not resolve. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and a friendly demeanor that immediately put me at ease. The staff at The Shop especially Jacob were not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable. They took the time to listen to my concerns and thoroughly explained the diagnostic process they would undertake to identify the problem. Unlike other places where I felt rushed or dismissed, here I felt valued as a customer. After a comprehensive inspection, they quickly diagnosed the issue that had stumped other mechanics. It was clear that their expertise was top-notch. They provided me with a detailed explanation of what needed to be done, along with transparent pricing that was very reasonable considering the quality of service provided. What impressed me most was their efficiency. They completed the repairs in a timely manner without compromising on quality. I left feeling confident in my vehicle’s performance, which is something I hadn’t felt in quite some time. if you’re looking for a mechanic who combines friendliness with exceptional skill, look no further than The Shop. I picked The Shop from Google since it had good reviews. I had a whole bunch of steering/suspension work on my old truck to keep it in good condition. They were very professional and communicated well. They were also very straightforward, showed me photos of a couple other issues they noticed, gave me different options, and even showed me the old parts afterwards even though I trusted them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! I’ll definitely go back for future repairs and have recommended them to a couple friends.
The technician worked on my car endlessly. They know what they are doing and ensure customers are satisfied with the work done. Will recommend others due to the top work done.
Both Steve’s were amazing .. I would definitely recommend their services to a family member or friend… Jacob the other technician that was present was very thorough and professional . the whole team was a great pleasure to do business with and will further be attending their services. Great customer service very honest will definitely come back again Scott with my repair man and he was very professional. Unfortunately, I made several phone calls and they took them. It was very polite to me and understanding will definitely come back.
I have taken my car here a few different times for different issues. They have been exceptional every time. The staff is friendly and knowledgable and they are very open and transparent with cost and what is going on with your car. They have provided pictures of the damaged items/areas before they were replaced and the part removed from my car when I went to pick it up. The clear straitforward unambiguity is incredible and as someone who has been burnt by mechanics in the past taking advantage of my ignorance, The Shop is a welcome relief for a good autoshop.
I can’t rave about this place enough. Wonderful customer service. Fair pricing. They aren’t trying to sale you on anything you don’t need and LADIES 🗣️They will not take advantage of you. Easily my new go to spot. 🤌🏾
Very transparent about what your vehicle does and doesn’t need. Very rare that you find a shop that doesn’t try to squeeze money out of your pocket. Super friendly and very knowledgeable group as well!

Incredibly impressed with this place. I called asking about having some brake work done and they told me to bring it in any morning and they would take care of it. The repairs ended up being a bit more involved than expected, but they still managed to get everything done that same day! They were very communicative about my repairs throughout the process. They sent pictures and provided updates. All the staff I dealt with were very friendly and knowledgeable, taking time to answer any questions or explain any repairs. The prices of services were fair and reasonable. I will be back for any future mechanic services.
They did a great job of with my brakes that were taking a little longer than preferred to brake! It was quick and easy and we had the car back within the day! They explained everything well and it was very reasonably priced! Love working with these men, they make getting my car fixed and enjoyable experience.

Last night I noticed my engine light come and had no idea what was wrong. I remembered a business card I received in the mail describing "The Shop" for automotive repair. I took my vehicle in and discovered a great place to take my cars for repair. It's nice to find a repair shop you can trust for outstanding service. Today they won a new customer.
Great experience at this place and very well ran. Had some problems with my truck was able to get me in the same day and have it ready 2 days later. This was seriously the first time someone has ever walked me through everything I had going on. Even offered to have there specialist come up as well if I wanted. When I went in to pick up my car they had everything laid out on the counter so I could visually see everything they had told me they were going to replace and had the team as well there. Mind blown!!!! I might add that before they did anything he even offered to let me take anywhere else and get an another opinion before doing anything. Hats off to these guys. Can't tell you enough how much I recommend this place.
They took great care of my vehicle! They notified me when the part was ordered, received, and the job complete. Their enthusiasm for cars was quite apparent. I will not hesitate to refer friends and family there. Thank you for your service!

My husband and I have had a great experience with this shop. Excellent brake job and fair prices. Once my electrical panel lit up with the trac off and check engine light. They found my gas cap wasn't tight enough and it caused a vacuum. I was relieved at the quick, easy fix. I would have had to pay $180 at the dealership to find out something simple like that. I wasn't even charged here at all :)

Steven and Jacob were super helpful from start to finish! I found this shop on Google because it was close to my area but I’m so glad I didn’t go anywhere else. Communication was clear and they helped me resolve some really complicated issues on my car quickly and effectively! They’re good, honest people who clearly love what they do. Went there to get my oil changed today and my service was excellent. The guys was very knowledgeable and help with something that was also going on with my vehicle other the oil change. They did over charge me for anything and I will be a returning customer for sure.
These are the most honest and hardworking people you’ll ever meet. my sister and I are for Cincinnati and we were in the area to purchase a car from carvana (I KNOW) we got it and went to find the first body shop that would take us. first every other body shop only works on specific cars then the others that we did find in the area had a wait till next week. We called them they said they were about to close but will take us for a inspection. we went there they said this is a “no go car “had a previous accident that we were not aware of problems with the oil and bunch of other things that was never explained to us. They are so nice hardworking and knowledgeable they told us to take this care back and get a new one or DONT BUY FROM CARVANA EVER. The people there are the best . “Always go somewhere you can trust” these are those people thank you so much for all your help

FRIENDLY EXPERIENCE AND QUALITY WORK! Having a knowledgeable mechanic you can trust is a rare find in any community. But my experience with "The Shop" in J-Town and with the owner, Steven, has been outstanding! I had two unrelated issues with my Ford Escape. In the most gracious and sincere way Steve kept me fully informed at all times, worked hard to find ways to reduce the cost and completed the work to the highest standards. Steven treated me like a long time friend and customer even though it was my first visit. "The Shop" will be my "go to" for all future services for both of my cars. THANK YOU Steven!
Couldn’t have asked for better service! The staff at ‘The Shop’ are all top notch and knowledgeable. Very welcoming and friendly. Keeping myself and my kiddos safe in my vehicle is most important and they took care of everything needed without breaking the bank! I will continue to have my vehicle serviced there in the future!

I took my vehicle to them recently and they did a great job fixing my brakes and more. They were honest and the prices were fair. Very friendly and I appreciated being updated via text, shown pictures of what needed to be fixed, and I was even shown the old parts of what was repaired when I arrived. The Shop will be my go-to now for auto repair.
I honestly was beginning to despise people in the auto repair industry for generally being dishonest, conniving scumbags, but then I met Steven and his team and they changed my mind on all that lol. It doesn’t get much better than this, folks
Honest and transparent with quality work! There’s a lot of anxiety bringing your vehicle in for a ‘noise’. A mechanic can tell you anything about what’s wrong and what’s needed. Luckily, Steven and his team diagnosed and fixed exactly what was wrong. They took the time to explain it with pictures. Was up front about the plan, timeframe and costs. It’s been a couple of weeks and the Jeep rides beautifully! I’m glad we have an honest and reliable shop in Jtown, and would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone.

Great experience with Steven and the rest of the crew at the Shop! Needed a new battery for a BMW. They exceeded my expectations with efficiency , knowledge and a little bit of fun thrown into the experience. I will definately return for future maintenance.

Staff was very sweet and welcoming! Dropped my car off Thursday and was completed by Monday! My cars drives like it’s brand new!
