The shop not only got my car looked at in a timely manner but we’re very transparent with exactly what was wrong and also did a thorough inspection and found a few other things that would have been safety concerns. They communicated very well, explained it to where I could understand and I would highly recommend taking your vehicle here with car troubles.

I've been having some small intermittent issues with my car that are quite elusive, and they tried their absolute best to try and replicate them, but my car just wasn't cooperating. Nonetheless, they're really flexible and honest, and it looks like they're running a great shop!
We were passing through Louisville to Chicago when we started to have car issues with our Honda Odyssey. The engine light was flashing, and we were panicking. Not knowing anyone in the area, we looked online and saw that "The Shop" had a rating of 5. I was skeptical that any business could have a perfect rating, but after another mechanic shop said they couldn't take our car for a week, we decided to give "The Shop" a try as we needed the car fixed ASAP. We gave "The Shop" a call, and Stephen took our call. He was super friendly and knowledgeable, immediately putting us at ease. He told us to bring the car in right away and mentioned they had "the Honda Expert" who could help. The team at "The Shop" did a thorough inspection and even found a part that needed to be replaced, which could have caused serious damage to the car. Their work was top-notch, and they communicated with us promptly throughout the process. Thanks to their help, we were able to get back on the road to Colorado with no more car issues. We are so grateful for their timely and excellent service. If you have trouble with your car, bring it to them. It will be in good hands, and you will not be disappointed.
Brought my car in because my radiator was leaking a lot. The team did a full diagnostic and gave me a quote on how much it would cost to fix. It was undoubtedly expensive so i didnt feel like doing it right now. I told that to them and they said there was no pressure and i didnt have to pay for the diagnostic. Very friendly and informative all around.
Both Steve’s were amazing .. I would definitely recommend their services to a family member or friend… Jacob the other technician that was present was very thorough and professional . the whole team was a great pleasure to do business with and will further be attending their services. I bought my car used a year and a half ago, and it has been nothing but trouble. I’ve taken it to multiple places for various repairs. I brought it to The Shop initially for a transmission leak, but they identified and addressed other issues I had been dealing with. They communicated with me throughout the process and got my car running better than it did when I first bought it. I’ll be bringing my car here from now on!
Always a pleasant experience here! The guys are very professional. Service is always quick as possible, sometimes even same-day. Prices are more than fair! Staff is not pushy when it comes to possible repairs. I highly recommend Steven, Jacob, and the staff!

They were able to literally save Christmas by fixing my emergency breakdown on Christmas Eve! Fixed the problem quick and didn’t try to upsell me any BS. Then when I realized I forgot to apply a coupon to that fix they offered a free oil change to make it up. Excellent shop for any type of car!

The best service I’ve ever had! Steven and his crew were patient and explained what they were doing and why each step of the way. We were having break issues on our 2013 Ford F150. The Shop diagnosed the problem, gave us an estimate and our truck runs great now. They are reasonably priced, friendly and very professional!! I highly recommend them!!!

Honest and transparent with quality work! There’s a lot of anxiety bringing your vehicle in for a ‘noise’. A mechanic can tell you anything about what’s wrong and what’s needed. Luckily, Steven and his team diagnosed and fixed exactly what was wrong. They took the time to explain it with pictures. Was up front about the plan, timeframe and costs. It’s been a couple of weeks and the Jeep rides beautifully! I’m glad we have an honest and reliable shop in Jtown, and would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone.

Moved back to J-Town. Passed this shop several times and had never stopped in. Needed some engine work done on my 96 Mustang GT. Explained the problem and was told they could take care of it. They completed the work in a timely manner and kept in contact with me the whole time the vehicle was there. The staff is very knowledgeable, experienced, friendly and professional. Would recommend this shop to any car person that wants quality work done. All my cars will be going here for any repairs.
There is not enough room on this review to truly say how amazing The Shop is! We’ve taken our cars there for various reasons, several times, but I’ll just speak of this last time. They got us in right away fixed what was needed immediately as they knew that was my daughters only transportation. They helped her with the cost, and her car is working perfectly. (They even text to follow up the next day to make sure)! Steven and crew truly go beyond and above, and definitely far pass expectations.
I have taken my 2019 Chevy Colorado to The Shop Auto Specialist in Jtown several times over the last year for a number of scheduled maintenance items like oil changes, serpentine belt installation, coolant system maintenance, and spark plug changes. They have done quality work each time and completed all job on schedule. The Shop takes pride in their results. The Shop is customer oriented and honest when working through any concerns or issues involving maintenance and repairs. When I first took my truck to the shop, I was looking for mechanics I could trust, and it looks like I found them.
I honestly was beginning to despise people in the auto repair industry for generally being dishonest, conniving scumbags, but then I met Steven and his team and they changed my mind on all that lol. It doesn’t get much better than this, folks
I picked The Shop from Google since it had good reviews. I had a whole bunch of steering/suspension work on my old truck to keep it in good condition. They were very professional and communicated well. They were also very straightforward, showed me photos of a couple other issues they noticed, gave me different options, and even showed me the old parts afterwards even though I trusted them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! I’ll definitely go back for future repairs and have recommended them to a couple friends.

I have taken my car here a few different times for different issues. They have been exceptional every time. The staff is friendly and knowledgable and they are very open and transparent with cost and what is going on with your car. They have provided pictures of the damaged items/areas before they were replaced and the part removed from my car when I went to pick it up. The clear straitforward unambiguity is incredible and as someone who has been burnt by mechanics in the past taking advantage of my ignorance, The Shop is a welcome relief for a good autoshop.

We moved here 3 months ago and I asked my neighborhood group about a reputable, honest mechanic who was reliable and thorough. The Shop was recommended several times and now I can see why. Steve was knowledgeable and considerate, addressed all of my concerns, and left me feeling confident in the job that was done. Happy to have found our new family mechanic!
They did a great job of with my brakes that were taking a little longer than preferred to brake! It was quick and easy and we had the car back within the day! They explained everything well and it was very reasonably priced! Love working with these men, they make getting my car fixed and enjoyable experience.
