Wonderful mechanic! Got me in for an oil change before closing, even though I was late arriving since I was stuck in traffic after work. My mother also used this mechanic and they saved her from losing her tire after a different mechanic shop left a long hammer in the underside of her car. Everyone there is very friendly and knowledgeable. I have gone to many mechanics in many different cities over the past 20+ years and this place is hands down the best

The shop just completed a tune up on my 20 year old Impala and it runs as well as it did 20 years ago. The price was right and the guys made a couple recommendations on doing two more details to the work. It runs better than ever. Found them through google and the reviews are spot on. Brought a car I just purchased for a thorough inspection. They found a coolant leak and fixed it on the spot. They also found some issues that can be addressed later. Gave me some quotes and I will be able to budget it and come back. Now I can drive with some peace of mind. Bonus points: When they replace parts they keep the worn items to show you what was wrong. This kind of shop is far and few between. They earned my business. Give them a shot and I’m sure they’ll earn yours as well.

I had a break down along the way and had to be here for a whole morning while waiting for repairs. It’s a healthy way to get to know the people who work there and see them make decisions. I was the only person waiting and they took notice. My repair was front loaded and they were cognizant of my needs. I also felt very comfortable with the decisions the owner made. Everything from personnel decisions to repair advice, he was pleasant to customers and employees alike. This is the type of place that will treat you fair and make you feel like you matter to them. I fully expect them to be a much larger shop in the future as they know how to do it right.

i brought my 2016 lexus is350 f sport in for some maintenance & a couple weeks later i noticed an oil leak. i took it back expecting to have to leave it for a while, but they took it in immediately, found the issue, topped off my oil, fixed it, & had me back on the road in less than 30 mins. turned out the oil drain plug gasket was defective. stuff happens, but what matters is how a shop handles it, & they handled it perfectly. no hassle, no charge, just took care of it. hard to find honest shops that stand behind their work like this. also worth mentioning, they’re always genuinely enthusiastic about working on my car like it’s something they actually enjoy getting into, not just another job. definitely earned my trust & i’ll keep bringing my car here.

Addition to previous post: I have lived in Europe, the middle east and all over the U.S. During those 60 years I have had 38 cars and been to countless service centers...but The Shop SHOULD GET 6 STARS! They diagnosed and repaired things other mechanics could not find...and they found multiple other things that needed immediate attention I didn't know were developing and potentially serious problems.Skilled, caring and honest mechanics are a rare breed, but that's what you get with Steven and his team! THANK YOU! FRIENDLY EXPERIENCE AND QUALITY WORK! Having a knowledgeable mechanic you can trust is a rare find in any community. But my experience with "The Shop" in J-Town and with the owner, Steven, has been outstanding! I had two unrelated issues with my Ford Escape. In the most gracious and sincere way Steve kept me fully informed at all times, worked hard to find ways to reduce the cost and completed the work to the highest standards. I'm a long haul truck driver. I move to jeffersontow a couple months ago from South Carolina was in need of some work on my hyundai sonata 2012 2.0T limited with low miles. A friend of mines said they did good work and at reasonable prices. I Wasn't disappointed as a matter fact I have them doing some more work on my car next week.
