Was an awesome experience with some dudes that just love cars and love saving people time and money. Came in to have my ac evacuated so I could do some work on it and they offered to do a vacuum test to check for leaks, didn’t find any charged it up and got me on my way! One of the most challenging decisions for a car owner is trying to find a mechanic you can trust, work that is complete, and problems are solved. Well, let me help EVERYONE out, The Shop is hands down that garage. I took my Ram in with a horrible oil leak in the front end of the engine. Jacob Zimmerlee (being short staffed that day) took my truck back, diagnosed the problem, called me with a plan and did everything he said he’d do. Jacob had me ready to go the same day. I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. The Shop is the garage to go. I see 200 patients a week and I’m telling every one of them about The Shop.

I had a break down along the way and had to be here for a whole morning while waiting for repairs. It’s a healthy way to get to know the people who work there and see them make decisions. I was the only person waiting and they took notice. My repair was front loaded and they were cognizant of my needs. I also felt very comfortable with the decisions the owner made. Everything from personnel decisions to repair advice, he was pleasant to customers and employees alike. This is the type of place that will treat you fair and make you feel like you matter to them. I fully expect them to be a much larger shop in the future as they know how to do it right.

They diagnosed and repaired things other mechanics could not find...and they found multiple other things that needed immediate attention I didn't know were developing and potentially serious problems.Skilled, caring and honest mechanics are a rare breed, but that's what you get with Steven and his team! THANK YOU! FRIENDLY EXPERIENCE AND QUALITY WORK! Having a knowledgeable mechanic you can trust is a rare find in any community. But my experience with "The Shop" in J-Town and with the owner, Steven, has been outstanding! I had two unrelated issues with my Ford Escape. In the most gracious and sincere way Steve kept me fully informed at all times, worked hard to find ways to reduce the cost and completed the work to the highest standards. First visit with my Toyota Tacoma small shop with great prices. Friendly staff, on my visit I witnessed the staff roll out the red carpet treatment for another customer who was upset she was waiting on a BMW that required a special part. I had my car towed to the Shop when the power steering went out and they carved out time to look at it on the same day. It was an older car (2010 Dodge Caravan, 190,000 miles) with lots of cumulative problems so I ended up having it junked, but the mechanics provided a detailed diagnosis, discussed different options focusing on cost management, and had competitive prices. They also helped me make arrangements to sell the car (to a junkyard) and to have it towed there since this was new territory for me. So even though I didn't end up having any work done on my car I was impressed by their helpfulness and high level of professionalism and I have already recommended the Shop to others.

Found them through google and the reviews are spot on. Brought a car I just purchased for a thorough inspection. They found a coolant leak and fixed it on the spot. They also found some issues that can be addressed later. Gave me some quotes and I will be able to budget it and come back. Now I can drive with some peace of mind. Bonus points: When they replace parts they keep the worn items to show you what was wrong. This kind of shop is far and few between. They earned my business. Give them a shot and I’m sure they’ll earn yours as well.
