Moved back to J-Town. Passed this shop several times and had never stopped in. Needed some engine work done on my 96 Mustang GT. Explained the problem and was told they could take care of it. They completed the work in a timely manner and kept in contact with me the whole time the vehicle was there. The staff is very knowledgeable, experienced, friendly and professional. Would recommend this shop to any car person that wants quality work done. All my cars will be going here for any repairs.

These are the most honest and hardworking people you’ll ever meet. my sister and I are for Cincinnati and we were in the area to purchase a car from carvana (I KNOW) we got it and went to find the first body shop that would take us. first every other body shop only works on specific cars then the others that we did find in the area had a wait till next week. We called them they said they were about to close but will take us for a inspection. we went there they said this is a “no go car “had a previous accident that we were not aware of problems with the oil and bunch of other things that was never explained to us. They are so nice hardworking and knowledgeable they told us to take this care back and get a new one or DONT BUY FROM CARVANA EVER. The people there are the best . “Always go somewhere you can trust” these are those people thank you so much for all your help

Steven and the mechanics at the shop are as honest as they come. Twice now I've come to them with "problems" that they've talked me out of wasting money on. They use good old fashion diagnostics to insure that they aren't just throwing parts at the problem to waste your time and money.

Incredibly impressed with this place. I called asking about having some brake work done and they told me to bring it in any morning and they would take care of it. The repairs ended up being a bit more involved than expected, but they still managed to get everything done that same day! They were very communicative about my repairs throughout the process. They sent pictures and provided updates. All the staff I dealt with were very friendly and knowledgeable, taking time to answer any questions or explain any repairs. The prices of services were fair and reasonable. I will be back for any future mechanic services.

I have taken my 2019 Chevy Colorado to The Shop Auto Specialist in Jtown several times over the last year for a number of scheduled maintenance items like oil changes, serpentine belt installation, coolant system maintenance, and spark plug changes. They have done quality work each time and completed all job on schedule. The Shop takes pride in their results. The Shop is customer oriented and honest when working through any concerns or issues involving maintenance and repairs. When I first took my truck to the shop, I was looking for mechanics I could trust, and it looks like I found them.

There's a reason The Shop's parking lot is perpetually packed, and it's not because the towering skeleton out front is a popular fellow: these guys know what they're doing, and they do it well. We have five vehicles, from my grandfather's aging F150 that's nearly as old as I am to a Fusion young enough to go to kindergarten to an ugly-but-running Town and Country, and The Shop's team of mechanics has provided excellent service to all of them. All of our automotive work is done by these guys now, and I recommend that you do the same.

My mother-in-law had a fantastic experience with the shop regarding her car repairs. She specifically asked me to leave them a 5 star review on google. They efficiently addressed her oil cooler issue and they also proactively informed her about the condition of the brakes. Her car was fixed in one day! Previously, she had visited another shop expressing concerns about unusual noises when turning, but they failed to resolve the issue or notify her about the bad brakes during their inspection. My mother-in-law felt very comfortable communicating with the technician at this shop, which made the experience even better. My wife went to this shop a few months ago and could not stop talking about how great of a job they had done for a fair price. Recently, I attempted to go to another shop to get my tires rotated and oil changed and was blown away at how much they were quoting for a simple job; due to this I decided to check out The Shop. As soon as I walked in I was treated as if the owner and I had been friends for years and the prices were some of the best I've seen around Louisville. Our initial conversation went so well that I ended up having them do quite a bit of routine maintenance (tire rotation, oil change, air filters, battery change) all at once because I trusted them to give me the best prices (which they absolutely did.) To summarize, if you're looking for an honest, hardworking, and fair local shop then this should be the one you go to. I cannot say good enough things and I will only be going here in the future for any maintenance my car needs.

I had my Honda civic serviced there and was taken care of so quickly! Tires were going bad and they replaced all four, did an alignment and replaced a wheel bearing that was much needed. This place has got my business from here on out. I came in for a standard full synthetic oil change. They did a routine inspection and found the source of a spooky sound that I had been hearing that I didn’t even think to tell them about! They also identified that I had an oil leak, which I was not aware of. They physically showed me where the issues were, which I felt was very transparent of them. They also explained everything to me to make sure I understood why certain things needed to be replaced. I felt like they treated me with the utmost care, which I really appreciated. Their pricing is also super reasonable. I am so glad I decided to try them out for an oil change! They will be my go-to shop now! Thanks a ton!

I have taken my car here a few different times for different issues. They have been exceptional every time. The staff is friendly and knowledgable and they are very open and transparent with cost and what is going on with your car. They have provided pictures of the damaged items/areas before they were replaced and the part removed from my car when I went to pick it up. Had my Highlander in to do an oil change after attempting myself. Turns out the last place I had it had tightened the oil filter to a Herculean level. Luckily the guys there were able to remove it without damaging the filter housing which was amazing. I have found my new permanent home for auto repair.
