We were passing through Louisville to Chicago when we started to have car issues with our Honda Odyssey. The engine light was flashing, and we were panicking. Not knowing anyone in the area, we looked online and saw that "The Shop" had a rating of 5. I was skeptical that any business could have a perfect rating, but after another mechanic shop said they couldn't take our car for a week, we decided to give "The Shop" a try as we needed the car fixed ASAP. We gave "The Shop" a call, and Stephen took our call. He was super friendly and knowledgeable, immediately putting us at ease. He told us to bring the car in right away and mentioned they had "the Honda Expert" who could help. The team at "The Shop" did a thorough inspection and even found a part that needed to be replaced, which could have caused serious damage to the car. Their work was top-notch, and they communicated with us promptly throughout the process. Thanks to their help, we were able to get back on the road to Colorado with no more car issues. We are so grateful for their timely and excellent service. If you have trouble with your car, bring it to them. It will be in good hands, and you will not be disappointed.

They were able to literally save Christmas by fixing my emergency breakdown on Christmas Eve! Fixed the problem quick and didn’t try to upsell me any BS. Then when I realized I forgot to apply a coupon to that fix they offered a free oil change to make it up. Excellent shop for any type of car!

The shop not only got my car looked at in a timely manner but we’re very transparent with exactly what was wrong and also did a thorough inspection and found a few other things that would have been safety concerns. My car had several things going on and I couldn't fix everything it needed. I heard about The Shop, on Taylorsville Rd. I went in and told them everything that I needed done and they said to bring it in. I had it towed to the shop and just 3 days later they had everything finished. I highly recommend them. As a matter of fact my son has his car over there now with a transmission problem, that a Ford dealer was going to charge a fortune for. Go see them if you need a mechanic, they are good people!!

I picked The Shop from Google since it had good reviews. I had a whole bunch of steering/suspension work on my old truck to keep it in good condition. They were very professional and communicated well. They were also very straightforward, showed me photos of a couple other issues they noticed, gave me different options, and even showed me the old parts afterwards even though I trusted them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! I’ll definitely go back for future repairs and have recommended them to a couple friends.

I have taken my 2019 Chevy Colorado to The Shop Auto Specialist in Jtown several times over the last year for a number of scheduled maintenance items like oil changes, serpentine belt installation, coolant system maintenance, and spark plug changes. They have done quality work each time and completed all job on schedule. The Shop takes pride in their results. The Shop is customer oriented and honest when working through any concerns or issues involving maintenance and repairs. When I first took my truck to the shop, I was looking for mechanics I could trust, and it looks like I found them.

Needed my shifter replaced and my brother recommended “The Shop”. So, I took my car up there and made contact with Stephen and Jacob who are very great people to talk to and informative about what would be best for my car. Made an appointment and they put the shifter in and it now feels way better than before. 10/10 recommend going there for any service you need for your car. Moved back to J-Town. Passed this shop several times and had never stopped in. Needed some engine work done on my 96 Mustang GT. Explained the problem and was told they could take care of it. They completed the work in a timely manner and kept in contact with me the whole time the vehicle was there. The staff is very knowledgeable, experienced, friendly and professional. I have taken my car here a few different times for different issues. They have been exceptional every time. The staff is friendly and knowledgable and they are very open and transparent with cost and what is going on with your car. They have provided pictures of the damaged items/areas before they were replaced and the part removed from my car when I went to pick it up. The clear straitforward unambiguity is incredible and as someone who has been burnt by mechanics in the past taking advantage of my ignorance, The Shop is a welcome relief for a good autoshop.

My wife went to this shop a few months ago and could not stop talking about how great of a job they had done for a fair price. Recently, I attempted to go to another shop to get my tires rotated and oil changed and was blown away at how much they were quoting for a simple job; due to this I decided to check out The Shop. As soon as I walked in I was treated as if the owner and I had been friends for years and the prices were some of the best I've seen around Louisville. Our initial conversation went so well that I ended up having them do quite a bit of routine maintenance (tire rotation, oil change, air filters, battery change) all at once because I trusted them to give me the best prices (which they absolutely did.) To summarize, if you're looking for an honest, hardworking, and fair local shop then this should be the one you go to. I cannot say good enough things and I will only be going here in the future for any maintenance my car needs.
